The Aldershot and Farnborough Dance Festival is held every year in the spring as part of the Aldershot and Farnborough Festival of Music and Art, and has been in existence since 1941. It is affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals, and is supported by Rushmoor Leisure.
For over twenty years the Festival has been held at what is now the Samuel Cody Specialist Sports College in Cove. Until recently this was known as the Oak Farm Centre, and prior to that Oak Farm School. However, regular visitors to our Festival will note that the venue is identical to that of previous years.
The Dance Festival is a qualifying event on alternate years, and was to have been a qualifying event in 2020 but was cancelled owing to the Covid pandemic. All-Engand have slipped their two-year Festival cycle by a year, so 2021 will also be a qualifying year.
Details are on this website of the syllabus, how to enter, fees, and how to find Samuel Cody College.
The Dance Festival is now closed for entries. Because of the Coronavirus situation we are keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to go ahead, and will have to make a decision sometime around the beginning of March. Please check the website for updates and read the Covid Measures page.
