The Aldershot and Farnborough Dance Festival is held every year in the spring as part of the Aldershot and Farnborough Festival of Music and Art, and has been in existence since 1941. It is affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals, and is supported by Rushmoor Leisure.
For over twenty years the Festival has been held at what is now the Samuel Cody Specialist Sports College in Cove. Until recently this was known as the Oak Farm Centre, and prior to that Oak Farm School. However, regular visitors to our Festival will note that the venue is identical to that of previous years.
The Dance Festival is a qualifying event for the All-England Dance Festival, which is held on alternate years. The 2018 Aldershot & Farnborough Festival just gone was an All-England qualifying Festival, but 2019 will not be. Our next qualifying Festival will be in 2020.
Details are on this website of the syllabus, how to enter, fees, and how to find Samuel Cody College.
